ITAC's Visioning Labs, in partnership with Lincoln Center Activate, will be heard regularly throughout the year. They take place online via zoom, and offer a space for artists to come together and participate in art-making as an inquiry into a given theme. All art forms and experience levels are welcome. The series features artist-led workshops, in which participants can participate alongside other high profile artists. Keep an eye on this page (and your inbox) for details of the next event.
ITAC is always keen to find additional ways to support the development of Teaching Artists, beyond the initial activities we programme. For this reason, we we will be producing and publishing a 'how-to' guide for recreating the activities after each event. We invite you to take the model and adapt it to your own context, for your own purposes - and don't forget to share your progress with us! Click the blue button below to see our most recent guide.
In our latest two-part series, Ren Dara Santiago and Adam Bock (USA) led an interactive workshop with five young playwrights, and subsequently five international teaching artists (from Scotland, India, Ghana, Singapore and USA), focused on contemporary issues and individual hopes for the future. The webinars invited creative exploration of the world we dream of for ourselves and our posterity through guided activities that encouraged reflection on the most pressing issues of our time. Participants were invited to explore and hone their artistic voice, delving into creative expression in their preferred medium.
