Claudia García is a Colombian bassist, teaching artist, and arts administrator. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Music from the Universidad Tecnologica de Pereira (Colombia), a Master's degree in Music, and a Graduate Performance Diploma from the Longy School of Music (Cambridge, MA). As a double bass teacher, she has participated in various programs, orchestras, and musical residencies around the world, including the Dream Orchestra in Gothenburg (Sweden), the Musica Riva Festival in Riva del Garda (Italy), the YOA Camp in Tegucigalpa (Honduras), the Musicaustral Camp in Frutillar (Chile), the GLP - KIPP Schools Music Residency (Washington, DC), and La Red de Escuelas de Música de Medellín (Colombia). In addition to her work as a teaching artist, Claudia was also in charge of the coordination of the following events: the Boot Camp for Teaching Artists - YOA Honduras in April 2018; the US tour "Medellín Canción Viva" in November 2018; the pedagogical activities for the Day of Action for Yo-Yo Ma's Back Project in Medellín in March 2019, among others. From 2017-2018 she was a cohort member of the Global Leaders Program - Orchestra of the Americas.
