Yonglun is an artist, arts administrator and educator. As an arts administrator, he has been involved in several projects to bring the arts into schools and more recently, was part of the team that developed the inaugural Visual Arts (VA) Learning Standards for Singapore Special Education Schools - a framework to guide schools in customising their own VA curriculum. He also helped to produce sensory-friendly/relaxed performances for individuals on the autism spectrum.

Since 2017, Yonglun has been collaborating with other artists to form arts-based interest groups to allow adults and children with disabilities to engage in the arts. These groups range from Playback Theatre to string ensembles. Although his efforts may not always be successful, Yonglun believes strongly that people with disabilities should be given equal opportunities to experience, explore and engage in the arts. Yonglun is also the founder of Harmony Community Choir an inclusive choir mainly made up of neuro-diverse young adults, which is still going strong today.

Yonglun also pursues the art of jazz guitar.
