Clara Bloomfield

Clara Bloomfield (FRSA)
Clara is an award winning freelance International Theatre-Maker, Director, Lecturer and Socially Engaged Artist from Scotland. She specialises in creating socio-politically engaged performance in a range of contexts and settings. Her work lies at the intersection of Theatre and Society. Immediate and responsive in nature, she explores the stories of the everyday and presents both in theatres and in non-traditional spaces as a catalyst for social change. Clara is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and Arts for Good Fellow for the Singapore International Foundation. Clara has created work with and for organisations including but not limited to The National Theatre, Le Grand Bleu, Lille France, Theatre NI (Northern Ireland), The National Theatre of Scotland, Puppet Animation Scotland, ITAC, Macrobert, The Rose Theatre London, Hamilton Arts Festival New Zealand and her own company Collision. Clara is a Lecturer at Edinburgh College on their Acting and Performance programmes and on the BA (Hons) Dance and Drama with Kingston University.
